Who we help

For everyone starting a new life in Kosovo

We support people who have to navigate the authorities without family or a local network.

Partners of Kosovars

Moving to Kosovo with your partner? Family reunification is one of the most common routes to a residence permit. Among other things, you need your marriage certificate and proof of housing.

Founders and professionals

Starting a company or taking up a job in Kosovo? We organise documents and appointments and connect you with vetted partners.

Retirees

Planning to retire in Kosovo? We show you the options and help with housing, banking and health insurance.

Remote workers

Kosovo has no digital nomad visa. We explain which routes exist instead.

Good to know

Where people often get stuck

Since March 2026 the rules for foreigners have been strictly enforced. These points surprise many newcomers:

Registration within three days

Foreigners must register their address with the police within three days. Violations can lead to fines of €100 to €300 and, in the worst case, an entry ban.

No apostille for Germany and Austria

The Apostille Convention does not apply between Kosovo and Germany or Austria. Documents need a more complex legalisation, which takes time. For Switzerland, the apostille applies.

Bank account and residence go together

Many banks only open an account once you hold a residence permit, yet the permit often requires proof of sufficient funds.

The 30-day rule

A temporary residence permit can be revoked if you stay abroad for more than 30 consecutive days without justification. A trap for anyone who commutes.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a visa as a citizen of the EU, the UK or Switzerland?

Not for stays of up to 90 days within 180 days. If you want to stay longer, you need a residence permit. Kosovo's 90/180-day rule applies independently of the Schengen area.

Is there a visa for digital nomads or retirees?

No. As of October 2026, Kosovo has no visa for digital nomads, retirees or investors. The main routes are family, work, your own company or studies.

Are you a law firm?

No. We organise, explain and accompany. If your case needs a legal assessment, we name licensed lawyers in Kosovo whom you instruct directly.

What does your support cost?

The quick check (20 minutes) is free. Afterwards, if you wish, you receive a non-binding fixed-price quote for exactly the services you need. The price depends mainly on the purpose of your stay and the number of people.

How do I pay?

By bank transfer, once you have accepted our quote. We send you the payment details by email. There is no online payment on this website.

Do I have to travel to Kosovo for appointments?

The quick check and the roadmap session take place by video. You must, however, submit your first residence permit application in person, usually in Kosovo. We prepare you for it and accompany you if you wish.

Do you also help with finding a flat?

Yes. We shortlist suitable offers, view them with you live by video if you wish and arrange the notary appointment for the rental contract. We take no commission from landlords or estate agents.

Which languages do you work in?

English and German.
